Many of us are scheduling our holiday travel plans now and it is a good time
to travel with your fitness in mind. During a recent trip, I got a chance
to brush up on my fit traveling.
To start the trip off right I began by packing light. I included my work
out gear by wearing it onto the plane and was rewarded by a most comfortable
flight in my sweats and gym shoes. Once we arrived, a tentative schedule
was put together to include possible times that a scheduled workout at the
hotel gym facility could be fit in.
While getting around to many of the sites to visit, walking was the first
choice. Walking from place to place when possible, throughout some of the
scenic tours, and intermittently after meals allowed for a great deal of
activity in the trip.
Following are some tips to keep in mind for your upcoming holiday travels:
-->Check that potential hotels/motels have a gym or special pricing with a
local one.
-->Wear you workout gear when you travel.
-->Make a tentative schedule to fit in workouts.
-->Walk to and at sites as often as possible.
-->Walk after large meals.
-->Modify work out length/routines to fit tighter time frames.
Holiday trips offer a chance to include more variety in your exercise
routine and can be opportunities to work out light without completely
compromising activity.

YOU have the POWER!
