In our lifetimes, no significant or new information has revealed how to improve our physical condition or health.
Consider this: the only significant health information unveiled in the last century is related to avoiding or lessening our
exposure to lifestyle induced ills. These are primarily centered on automobile accidents, lack of exercise, poor eating
habits, smoking, stress, pollution, drugs and hazardous substances, but not necessarily in that order.
Fortunately, research and innovation allow humans to improve sanitation, limit the occurrence of many diseases, and
fine tune nutrition and athletic training -- with the most notable recent advances being made in surgical procedures. But
none of this has made any real impact on our physical condition. In fact, government studies show that Americans are
more obese today than at any other time (2000).
It wasn't but just over a hundred or so years ago that "fat was where it was at", meaning that the few who were
overweight had to be wealthy to be able to afford becoming obese. Even as recently as 30 some-odd years ago,
celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe would be considered "too big" by today's accepted modeling standards. Today's
society concentrates on a culture of convenience leaving many of our natural instincts as mammals rebutted as
inappropriate or not complying with proper etiquette.
Through the years there have been new equipment, best selling books about new ways of eating, dieting, or special
workout routines each sharing the limelight until the next idea or fad comes along. But all professionally accepted
information relates to our unhealthy lifestyle practices which leave the contemporary adult with increasingly
underutilized physical capacities. As a result, we suffer from frustration, aggression, lower mental clarity and
decreasing physical ability's each year.
So instead of trying the next "new" or "in" idea, just look at what you do during a day for transportation, relaxation,
food choices and general activity. By concentrating on these areas you're sure to save yourself a great deal of grief and
maybe even some money.

YOU have the POWER!
